A screenshot is a list of everything you forgot to translate.
Drop in a screenshot. BeMyWords reads every visible sentence, finds each one in your project and tells you which have no translation yet in the language you are about to ship.
Image in, missing keys out.
The useful part is not the reading. It is the matching: the sentences on the picture are found in your project and narrowed to the ones missing in your target language.
-
01
It reads every visible string
Labels, buttons, links, headings and placeholders, in the exact wording they appear.
-
02
It matches them to your keys
Each sentence is looked up among the source sentences in your project, so you get the key, not just the text.
-
03
It shows you what is missing
Narrowed to the language you are shipping, so you are left with a short list to fix rather than a full re-read.
What people use it for.
A screen that is not in your repo
Copy inside a third-party widget, a PDF, an email template, a partner portal. If you can screenshot it, you can find out what it would take to translate it.
A bug report with a picture in it
Someone sends "the German checkout looks broken" with a screenshot. Drop it in and you have the keys on that screen instead of hunting for them.
Checking a release before it ships
Screenshot the new screen, see which strings have no translation yet, and fix them before the language goes live rather than after.
What happens to the image
The image is read and then discarded. We keep the sentences we found and the details of the upload, never the picture. The bytes pass through our server and go to the vision model to be read, and sit for a short while in a cache under a one-time token when the model needs to fetch them by address. That is all of it.
With your own key, the image goes to your own vision provider under your terms, and never to ours.
Point it at a screen you are not sure about.
