Guide

A tool to translate your website into several languages, and keep the translations up to date.

Translating a site once is the easy half. The other half is every edit after it.

The short answer

BeMyWords translates your website into the languages you sell in, and updates the translations when you change the original text. You paste one script tag into the site. When a visitor, or our nightly crawl, meets a sentence it has not seen, that sentence is translated within minutes, inside your glossary and do-not-translate list. Changing a sentence makes it a new sentence, so it is translated again with no step from you, and the rest of the page is left alone.

What happens, step by step.

You paste one tag

One script tag in the page head. No files to export and no dashboard to learn.

Languages switch on by demand

A language turns on when enough visitors arrive with their browser set to it, or when you choose it. It goes live for visitors once most of the site is translated, so nobody meets a half-translated site.

You edit the original

The edited sentence is translated again the first time it is seen. The sentences you did not touch keep their translations, including the ones you corrected by hand.

Where it needs a setting

If your developers send translation files to BeMyWords instead of using the tag, an edited original marks its translations as behind, and they are translated again only when "Re-translate edited strings" is on in the project settings.

What does BeMyWords cost?

Free to start: 5,000 words stored, 1 site, no card. Paid tiers start at NOK 199 a month, or NOK 1,990 for a year. They count the words you store, the original plus each translation of it, and never people, pageviews or a cap on how many languages you run. Bring your own AI key and it is NOK 199 a month flat with no word limit.

Which tier that is depends on how many words your site holds. Paste your address and we read it and tell you.
